Malshej Ghat

Maharashtra · 2h 30m drive · 4.3

A mountain pass in the Western Ghats 130 km from Mumbai where waterfalls literally flow across the road during peak monsoon. Rare flamingos arrive at Pimpalgaon Joga Dam (Sep–Nov), Harishchandragad Fort offers one of Maharashtra's best treks, and the 'upside-down waterfall' — water blown vertically by cliff updrafts — is a spectacle found nowhere else. Perfect monsoon destination.
