The Mumbai-Pune adventure belt, best Jun–Feb. Kolad is THE white-water rafting spot (Kundalika releases, ~Jun–Feb); Karjat adds Kondana caves, ND Studio and the Imagicaa theme park. Forts like Kalavantin and Irshalgad are tough climbs.
